Redesigning the In-Booking Donation Flow: Evidence from Three Airline Studies

Across three sequential experiments with the booking flows of three major airlines (combined n = 1,413), travelers given real money donated at materially higher rates when the donation page was redesigned, in every study and significantly so. High preset anchors multiplied how much donors gave with no drop in how many gave. Brand favorability and booking intent were never harmed.

New Empirical Evidence: Consumer Support for Environmental Restoration Projects

In an online stated-choice experiment with no money at stake, travelers were offered a one-tap reforestation contribution at a simulated flight checkout. 69% chose to add it, and 75% preferred the booking platform that asked.

SolarSoiled: Pricing What Rooftop Solar Loses to Dirt

Dust and pollen cut solar output by 1 to 10% in temperate places and up to 30% in dry ones. SolarSoiled finds rooftop arrays in aerial photographs, measures each system, and works out what it loses per year. What surprised us: once we measured how often local rain rinses the panels, a paid cleaning stopped paying for itself anywhere in the coastal pilot. The write-up is in progress; the tools are already live.
